As a mega superstar in the acting world and owner of several successful companies, Dwayne Johnson doesn’t exactly have a lot of free time. But the free time he does have, he spends with his daughters, 4-year-old Tiana and 7-year-old Jasmine.
While speaking to CBS Sunday, Johnson was asked if he would ever consider a presidential run, and he shot the idea down pretty quickly.
I will say this, ’cause it requires the B side to this: I love our country and everyone in it. And I also love being a daddy, And that’s the most important thing to me, is being a daddy, number one, especially during this time, this critical time in my daughters’ lives.
He thought back to all the time he missed with his eldest daughter, 21-year-old Simone. He admits that he didn’t exactly balance his schedule back then.
He doesn’t want to make the same mistake twice.
‘Cause I know what it was like to be on the road and be so busy that I was absent for a lot of years when my first daughter was growing up in this critical age at this critical time in her life. That’s what the presidency will do, So, my number one priority is my daughters.
I think we can all agree that Johnson is great at being a dad. He doesn’t need to add “president” to his already impressive list of accomplishments.
Plus, maybe we should take a break from having entertainers become political superstars.
