Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling are very private when it comes to their little family. For those who don’t know, the two stars share two daughters together: 8-year-old Esmeralda and 6-year-old Amada.
After giving birth to her babies, Mendes decided to “retire” from acting, so she could put all her energy into being a mother.
The 48-year-old star still posts on Instagram though, and this past week, she shared a video of herself giving an important lesson in parenting.
I want my kids, when they get into trouble later on in life, I want them to be like ‘I gotta call my mom’ versus ‘Ohh, I can’t tell my mom about this.’ And that’s what I’m looking for, obviously it’s the you can come to me with anything.
She captioned the post by writing that this is advice that was shared with her a long time ago and she tries her best to live by it.
And apparently, it’s really good advice because Super Nanny Jo Frost commented on the post and praised the message from Mendes.
You make that happen with how open you are in your response to the little situations they come to you with now and also how you emotionally regulate yourself when you hear what you do. It is the foundation for when they are teens. Eva got Parenting Goals!! 🔥🔥🔥
Sounds like everyone is in agreement. I think we can all agree that Mendes is crushing motherhood. And just think, she didn’t even want children until she fell in love with Gosling.
I never wanted babies before until I fell in love with Ryan, And it kind of worked out to where I was 40 and having my first baby. I think I was 42 for the second one, so it worked out in that way that I had a career and then I changed my focus to my family.
