For Serena Williams, tennis is life. She’s been playing tennis since she was a kid. She has lived and breathed tennis all her life, and with great success. The passion she has for the sport fueled her to become the best to ever play it.

But unfortunately, her 5-year-old daughter Olympia doesn’t share the same passion. During an interview on CBS News’ Person to Person with Norah O’Donnell, the 41-year-old tennis superstar admitted she’s a little disappointed that her daughter doesn’t love tennis.

That’s a little disappointing for me, but she’s actually really good at it. So we are trying to figure out a way to get her to play a little bit. Maybe I can push her into tennis by getting other kids to have a group lesson, I think that’s what I’m gonna do.

Hopefully she doesn’t push her too hard. You can’t force your kid to like what you do. Who knows, Olympia might want to become a chef. Her passion probably won’t be connected to Serena’s, and that’s perfectly fine.

That being said, if she does grow to love tennis, no doubt she’ll have a chance at becoming a superstar just like her mother.

Serena shares Olympia with her husband, Alexis Ohanian, who made his riches by co-founding Reddit.

We’ll see what happens, but hopefully Serena can learn to live with it. Maybe she just needs to have another baby? Surely the second one will love tennis!
