The end of 2022 was brutal for America’s favorite weatherman, Al Roker. The 68-year-old star spent the better part of November and December in the hospital, battling several health complications.
But it looks like 2023 is off to a much better start. During the Wednesday episode of Today, Roker revealed that his daughter, Courtney Roker, is expecting her first baby with her husband, Wes.
My daughter Courtney and her husband, Wes [Laga], are expecting our first grandchild. We’re very excited. For this grandchild, I’m gonna be the best grandpa ever. Because I’m gonna do whatever I can to spoil this kid and then hand her back.
Courtney shared the news herself on her Instagram account on Tuesday. She posted a reel set to Mariah Carey’s ‘Always Be My Baby.’
In the video, Courtney shared photos of her and Wes before the song transitioned to an acoustic version and showed off a sonogram.
She captioned the post: “A new adventure is about to begin ❤️🍼”
Of course, Courtney isn’t the only child Al has. He’s also a dad to 20-year-old Nick and 24-year-old Leila. He shares both Nick and Leila with his wife Deborah Roberts. He shares Courtney with his ex-wife, Alice Bell. He was married to her from 1984 to 1994.
