Have you ever tried to rationalize with a toddler? Yeah, it’s like trying to eat soup with a fork.
‘Watch What Happens Live’ host Andy Cohen posted a hilarious video to his Instagram account, featuring him trying to negotiate screen time with his 4-year-old son, Ben.
He captioned the clip, “Early morning negotiation… (spoiler alert: I held firm!)”
In the video, Cohen explains to his son that he already let him watch one video. And then he asked his son, “And how many did you watch?” His son answered honestly, “Two.”
“Two! So that was so nice of me. So how is there a third in play?” Cohen hilariously responded. His son then said he wanted to watch three more videos.
I kind of feel like I’m negotiating with a terrorist right now. I feel like you keep changing the game. You keep changing the game. You know, one ‘Mighty Express’ is worth two ‘Fireman Sams,’ just lengthwise, I’m just saying. Does that make you feel better? Does that make you feel better? It should.
It did NOT make Ben feel better. He cried some more and Cohen looked at the camera with a “welp” face.
All parents have been there. Screen time can be one of the hardest things to control as a parent, but it looks like Cohen is doing a decent job.
In addition to 4-year-old Ben, Cohen also has an 11-month-old daughter named Lucy.
