43-year-old actor Chris Pratt is “cool” to a lot of people in the world. After all, he’s the lead star of a Marvel franchise, and he played the lovable Andy Dwyer in the hit series, Parks & Rec, for several seasons. He’s a legit star!
… but his 10-year-old son Jack isn’t all that impressed. Pratt talked to PEOPLE on the red carpet for the premiere of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 on Thursday night.
He was asked whether or not he’s reached “cool status” with his son.
No, not yet. Not yet. I’m hoping after tonight, he’ll finally think I’m cool. Actually, he’s here with me tonight. He’s one of my dates tonight.
Pratt attended the star-studded event with his wife Katherine Schwarzenegger, and Jack. He shares Jack with his ex-wife, Anna Faris. He also has two daughters with Katherine.
Safe to say, he has his hands full, but he wouldn’t have it any other way. In fact, he talked about how strong the bond is between a parent and child.
The relationship between a parent and a child is definitely explored in this film, and there’s no stronger bond than between a parent and a child. And, yeah, certainly I can draw on my own experience as a parent when it comes to drawing and finding ways to be emotional and to push emotion.
Pratt also talked a little about the two daughters he shares with Katherine, revealing that their youngest, Eloise, is just now starting to pull herself up.
Eloise is just starting to pull herself up. She’s crawling around. She’s saying, ‘Dada.’ She loves my guitar. Lyla’s very, very sweet. She’s a little sick at home, so I’ve been sleeping on her floor at night.
