As you may have heard, Britney Spears “consented” to her two sons moving out to Hawaii with their father, Kevin Federline, late last month.
Apparently, Kevin made the request earlier this year, with a hope that he, his wife, and his two sons can get a fresh start on the island, away from the spotlight of Hollywood.
A source told PEOPLE that the former dancer, 45, first reached out to his ex-wife earlier in the month for permission to move, as the boys reside with Federline. ‘Britney has always faithfully supported her children and wants them to be happy,’ said the source.
For those who don’t know, Britney shares 17-year-old Sean Preston and 16-year-old Jayden James with Kevin.
After news of the move to Hawaii hit the internet, Britney went on her Instagram account to share a throwback photo of Preston.
She captioned the photo: “My first love!”
According to the report, her two sons will move to Hawaii this summer. Preston graduated from high school this year, and Jayden will finish his last year of high school remotely next year.
Britney’s relationship hasn’t always been the best with her sons, but in an interview last year, Jayden said he’s hopeful that it can be repaired.
I 100 percent think this can be fixed. It’s just going to take a lot of time and effort. I just want her to get better mentally. When she gets better I really want to see her again.
