Jennifer Lawrence gave birth to her first baby boy 16 months ago, and she’s already back to starring in an upcoming comedy blockbuster, No Hard Feelings.
The movie is set to be released on June 23, and during a recent interview with Good Morning America, Lawrence admits she didn’t think she’d return to acting this soon after giving birth. She was planning on taking an extended break, but the script for this movie won her over.
But now that she’s filmed it, she’s ready to take a step back. She revealed in the interview that she’s currently not looking for any other projects.
Once you start a family, that’s the greatest thing in the world. I’m just gonna try to take in every second and be present and enjoy it.
She was asked if she thought she’d be a helicopter mom to her son, Cy, and Lawrence laughed and admitted, “Probably. I’ll have to work on it.”
The 32-year-old actress is already nervous thinking about her son’s future, which includes terrifying things like operating a motor vehicle.
My heart has stretched to a capacity that I didn’t know about. I include my husband in that. And then they’re both just, like, out there—walking around, crossing streets. He’s gonna drive one day. He’s gonna be a stupid teenager and be behind the wheel of a car. And I’m just gonna be like, Good night! You know? Like, who sleeps?’
