Chris Hemsworth Wants His Daughter To Have A Childhood Before Chasing Acting Career

For those who don’t know, Chris Hemsworth’s 11-year-old daughter India Rose made her acting debut in her father’s film, Thor: Love and Thunder.

In a recent interview, the 39-year-old Marvel actor explained that originally, India’s role was supposed to be super quick.

That was originally supposed to be just a super-quick little moment in the film, and then the character expanded due to the story changing. I said, ‘Oh, do you want to do some dialog in the film?’ And she’s like, ‘Yeah, cool!’

Chris said his daughter was a “pro” and she enjoyed the experience, but he wants her to have a childhood, so he’s not exactly allowing her to take on other roles.

I said, ‘There’s plenty of time, sweetie. Go to school, horse ride, have fun, be a kid.’ Because once the train moves, it’s pretty hard to get off, and you miss a lot of things.

I think that’s really great advice. You see so many child stars grow up and struggle a lot in their adult years. Even the ones who had a great support system still feel like they missed out on something.

So yeah, expert advice from Chris there. If you weren’t aware, Chris and his wife Elsa Pataky are also parents to twin boys, Sasha and Tristan. They just recently celebrated their 9th birthday in March.

Currently, Chris is taking a little bit of a break from acting to focus on spending more time with his family.
