Country music superstar Morgan Wallen shares a 2-year-old son named Indigo with his ex, KT Smith, and on Monday it was revealed that Indigo was attacked by Smith’s dog.

And surprisingly, it was actually Smith who broke the news. She went on her Instagram account and announced she was looking to re-home the dog after the unfortunate accident.

After a trip to the emergency room, ‘Indigo’s OK. His scar will be minimum — he did have stitches, but he’ll be OK,’ Smith, 28, said in an update to her Instagram Story.

She was obviously emotional. We can only imagine how scary the incident must have been. She admitted the past couple days following the attack have been “extremely hard and full of tears.”

Smith also noted that her pup hadn’t ever done anything like this before.

He hasn’t shown any bit of aggression, before [the bite], at all. I know there are options that I could have done, with keeping him with a muzzle on around the house — he doesn’t deserve that either. I can’t be a mom that keeps a dog in the house when my child is also traumatized, probably, from that. I can’t be a good dog mom to him, keeping a muzzle on him.

Sounds like she’s got a good head on her shoulders. I think sending him to a new home was probably the best option for everyone.

She explained later in a Story that she found a new home for the pup and the family lives nearby, so she can visit whenever she wants.

A happy ending to a traumatic experience.
