Kids say the darndest things? You bet! Just ask Serena Williams.
The tennis legend went on her Twitter account this week to share a short (but hilarious) story involving her 5-year-old daughter, Olympia.
According to Serena, a woman walked up to her and said, “I love your hair!” and as Serena was saying thanks, Olympia chimed in with, “It’s a WIG!”
Nice lady: I love your hair

Me: Awww Thanks!
Olympia : It’s a WIG!!!
Oh no! We’re sure it was a bit awkward for a moment, but Serena’s followers made sure to let her know she’s not the only one.
One follower replied, remembering an embarrassing moment of her own at the grocery store…
😆 I was with my husband checking out at the grocery store. Our favorite cashier said ‘I love your hair.’ I looked up, smiled and said ‘well, thank you.’ She laughed softly and said ‘I was talking to your husband, but your hair is nice too.’

Another user remembered a story his mom shared with him…
My mom to me:

when you were four, you looked up at me in the grocery store, and loudly said, “Mom, you’ve got a mustache” 🫣
Kids… you can’t trust ’em!
