As we told you back in April, ‘Harry Potter‘ star Daniel Radcliffe welcomed his first baby with his girlfriend, Erin Darke. The couple were trying to keep the news private, but photographers caught them in NYC pushing around a stroller.
Now that the news is out, Radcliffe has been a little more open about how fatherhood is treating him. In an interview with Extra, the 33-year-old actor admitted it’s been a crazy few months.
He’s very cute. We’ve moved into a less screaming phase and he’s now giving us little smiles and giggling. It’s been a crazy few months, as anyone who’s been through parenthood would attest. But it’s also the literal best thing that’s ever happened, so it’s great. I feel very lucky to be able to have this time with him. It’s awesome.
Radcliffe is extremely private when it comes to his family. In fact, we still don’t know the baby’s name, and we probably won’t for a long time. After being stuck in the madness that is ‘Harry Potter’ fandom, Radcliffe values privacy more than most.
But once Radcliffe’s baby boy is a little older, you can expect to find him on film sets.
I want my kids, if and when they exist…I would love them to be around film sets. A dream would be for them to come onto a film set and be like ‘God, you know, I’d love to be in the art department. I’d love to be something in the crew.’ Some part of this, but not from that.
