For some reason, when stars come on The Kelly Clarkson Show, they start sharing every detail of their personal life, which probably has something to do with Clarkson’s interview style, which makes them feel like they’re just hanging out with a friend.

On the latest episode of the talk show, Kristen Bell stopped by for a chat, and during their discussion, Bell revealed her two daughters, 9-year-old Lincoln and 8-year-old Delta, love to drink non-alcoholic beers.

She admitted “it sounds insane” but added that context is important. For those who don’t know, Bell’s husband Dax Shepard is a recovering alcoholic.

He’s a recovering addict, but he likes non-alcoholic beer, so he’d pop one open, he’d have [our oldest daughter] on his chest, and we’d walk and look at the sunset. As a baby, she was pawing at it, and sometimes she’d suck the rim of it. So I think it feels to her like something special, something daddy, something family.

And now that they’re drinking it all the time at home, they’ve started asking for it at restaurants…

We’ve been at restaurants where she’s said, ‘Do you have any non-alcoholic beer?’ And I’m like, maybe we just keep that for home time. But then I’m sort of like, you can judge me if you want, I’m not doing anything wrong. That’s your problem.

Hey, no judgement here! We don’t judge here… being a parent is hard enough! If they want non-alcoholic beer, let them have it!
