We watch a ton of movies and shows so I’m not judging anyone about screens. But when it comes to my kids, I’m not a huge fan of personal electronics, like iPads. During the pandemic when schools were virtual, we were forced into all being on our separate devices and I didn’t like it. Now, I keep the iPads locked in a safe and they only come out for special occasions. I’d rather that the three of us all pile into my bed and watch together.
We get it. All the personal devices work as a bit of a divider. Everyone is in their own little world these days, so cutting back on that is definitely a good thing.
You hear a lot of celebrities say similar things, as well as prominent people in tech, which really makes you think. If the people making the technology are keeping the latest gadgets away from their kids… shouldn’t we as well?
