Struggling to figure out how to get your kid to clean up their messy room? Well, you could do what Kelly Ripa does and threaten to show the world just how dirty their room is by shaming them on Instagram.
During a chit-chat with her husband, Mark Consuelos, on Live with Kelly & Mark, the 53-year-old host talked about how whenever her 22-year-old daughter Lola visits home, she leaves her bedroom a complete mess.
“It looks as though her bedroom specifically has been broken into and ransacked,” Ripa told the live studio audience, before revealing how she gets her daughter to come back home and clean it ASAP.
And then she’ll casually leave for the night and I’ll text her and say, ‘I’m filming your room and I’m putting it on Instagram unless you get home and fix this.’ And I’ve seen her plog. I’ve seen her run through her bedroom, gathering up the mess and the filth and the detritus and make it all vanish so that I don’t post it on Instagram.
For those wondering what “plog” means, Mark brought up the term earlier in the conversation. It’s apparently a race in Italy to see who can collect the most amount of trash while running.
In Italy, the land of uncollected garbage, it combines running with trash pickup. So it’s distance traveled plus the amount of weight of stuff you pick up along the road.
So yeah, sounds like Lola would be great at plogging!
