Last month, Kourtney Kardashian had to have emergency fetal surgery to save her baby’s life. It was a terrifying experience for the 44-year-old reality star, especially because her husband Travis Barker was overseas on tour when it first happened.
After spending a couple days in the hospital, Kourtney was released and she went on her Instagram to thank all the doctors who helped save her baby’s life.

And during a new interview with Vogue, Kourtney said it was a “bonus” ultrasound that revealed the problem with her baby.
That experience opened my eyes to a whole new world of pregnancy that I didn’t know about in the past. It was terrifying. After, I learned that insurance typically only covers two ultrasounds when you’re pregnant, I had no idea. I’ve always been lucky enough to do more than what insurance covers, and it’s one of those ultrasounds that saved my baby’s life.
Yeah, there’s a lot of things wealthy people aren’t aware of because they simply don’t have to deal with it. She is very fortunate to have the funds for proper medical care.
Elsewhere in the interview, the ‘Poosh’ founder talked about how she felt pressured into doing IVF…
It went against my intuition, and I didn’t feel fully prepared for the mental or physical toll is takes. We just got pregnant naturally. It was an indescribable feeling. Shock, then super-happy, fear sets in, worry, but I remembered then to have gratitude.
It’s believed her baby is due within the next month!
