At 74-years-old, Lionel Richie is going to be a grandfather again! As we told you last week, his daughter Sofia Richie is expecting her first baby with her husband, Elliot Grainge.
Lionel talked with PEOPLE this past weekend, and he sounded super pumped about the upcoming new addition to the family.
You know what? I am pumped up. I am now going to spoil yet another child in the world … And I am not quite sure what the child will do to me, but I’m hoping that the child gives the parents a bit of a run, because every parent wants to get even as to what you did to me.
His 25-year-old daughter announced her pregnancy news in an interview with Vogue last week. She and her husband are really excited, but also a little nervous.
But according to Lionel, they have nothing to worry about because he knows Sofia and Elliot will be great parents.
She’s going to be fantastic. These are two loving parents, and I don’t think they really know what’s coming because every kid is different. So no matter what advice I give them, there’s no manual for this. They’ll figure it out.
Ain’t that the truth. No one kid is the same, even if they’re raised in the same household. They all have their own little personalities… SO GOOD LUCK!
