Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes is 100% focused on the big game this Sunday, but during a press conference earlier this week, he did hint that his family is a welcome distraction.
He talked about how he’s been incredibly busy training and planning for the Super Bowl, but he always makes time to speak to his kids via FaceTime.
Yeah, I always FaceTime them whenever I’m not with them and talk to them throughout the day. Bronze is running around now, starting to walk. Sterling’s loving it, being able to be on vacation and everything like that. So hopefully I’ll get to see them throughout the week when I get some free time but it’s always great when I get to talk to them.
Mahomes shares two kids with his wife, Brittany. They have 14-month-old Bronze and 2-year-old Sterling Skye.
He also revealed that his family is already in Las Vegas, and he hopes to see them later in the week.
They are already here and I’m hopefully going to get over there maybe today or tomorrow and see them. It’s always great to have them there with me and Sterling’s running the household, running the house and seeing every single room in there.
After Sunday’s game, Sterling and Bronze will have their dad’s full attention… for like three or four months, and then it’s right back to football!
