Usher is just two days away from the biggest performance of his life. The 45-year-old musician has been tapped to be the Super Bowl halftime performer this year, and he’s been getting advice from just about everyone, including his own children.
During an appearance on ‘The Talk‘ Usher was asked if his kids would be joining him on stage for the big performance. He said they’ll be at the stadium, but not on the stage.
They will be around. I’ve been receiving tons of notes from Naviyd. Usher, he gave me a couple of notes. He gave me a few songs he felt like I should definitely cut, songs I should keep.
Naviyd and Usher V are his two oldest kids at 15 and 16, respectively. He also has a 3-year-old daughter named Sovereign and a 2-year-old named Sire.
Elsewhere in the interview, Usher admitted his kids don’t always want him around at their school events.
My kids – sometimes, they don’t want me to come. They don’t want me to be at their basketball game or their recital, or they wanna be very, very low-key, ‘cause they don’t want that energy. And it’s hard, because I try my hardest to have that empathy, but I wanna be there.
Sounds like he just needs to wear a disguise! Get a wig, some glasses and just sit in the back.
