You’ll remember, Miley Cyrus became a household name, thanks in large part to the success of the Disney Channel show Hannah Montana.
She starred in the show with her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, and for many years, they were really close. How could they not be? They would spend hours and hours on set together.
But sadly, they haven’t spoken in quite some time. An insider recently told Us Weekly that Billy Ray has tried to reach out to his daughter to congratulate her on winning big at the 2024 Grammys, but she refuses to take his call.
Miley and Billy Ray are on the outs. Miley’s very close with her mom and is standing by her. The kids have chosen sides, but friends are hoping the rift doesn’t last forever.
Tish Cyrus and Billy Ray filed for divorce back in 2022 after several years of ups and downs in their marriage. They were married for nearly 30 years.
While the mother of five has since moved on with ‘Prison Break’ star, Billy Ray got engaged to Australian singer Firerose, who is 27 years his junior, just five months after his split from Tish. The couple wed in October 2023.
It appears Miley is not happy about her dad leaving her mom for a much younger woman. She shares this opinion with her older siblings, Brandi and Trace.
But Noah and Braison have taken their dad’s side in the split, so the whole family is kinda fractured right now.
Sad to hear it. They all need to rent out some cabin in the mountains with no WiFi and just talk until they come to some sort of understanding.
