‘Bush‘ frontman, Gavin Rossdale, was on a recent episode of the ‘Amy & T.J.‘ podcast, and he talked at length about his failed marriage to Gwen Stefani.
The two rock stars share three kids together (17, 15, 10) and were married for 13 years before calling it quits in 2015 amid rumors he cheated on her with their nanny.
During the podcast, Rossdale admitted their divorce was “contentious” and “debilitating.”
Less said, soonest mended and I said nothing. I’m handcuffed because I would never want to overly say anything negative about [my sons’] mom. That’s just not right. I think that there’s no accidents in life so you are where you’re meant to be. So I don’t live in regret … life just unfolds how it should.
Of course, he probably also said less because he was the one caught cheating… ALLEGEDLY! We’re not sure if that’s been confirmed or not.

In any event, he admitted the divorce was especially tough because he didn’t want his kids to experience what he did as a kid. His parents divorced and went on to have multiple other marriages.
I wish I could have found a way to not have that in their lives. It wasn’t fun for me to come from a broken home. It can be quite debilitating for kids … the overriding things is you don’t want to let your kids down. The biggest thing would be when you see the kids that sometimes there’s a loss. It’d be nice if there was more of a connection with the person who made them with me.
The way he talked on the podcast seemed to make it clear he and Gwen don’t talk all that much. Maybe one day they can figure it all out, but in the meantime, they’re busy building new relationships. Gwen is married to country superstar Blake Shelton, and Rossdale just went Instagram official with his new boo, Xhoana.
