50-year-old actress/businesswoman Eva Mendes was on the Today show this week, and she talked a lot about the little family she is raising with her longtime boo, Ryan Gosling.
For those who don’t know, the beautiful couple share two daughters together, 9-year-old Esmeralda and 7-year-old Amada Lee.
Ever since giving birth, Mendes has put her acting career on hold, and she claims it was an easy decision.
It was like a no-brainer. I’m so lucky if I could have this time with my children. It was almost just like a non-verbal agreement that it was like, ‘Ok, he’s going to work and I’m going to work. I’m just going to work here.’ He went and he did his job. He just happens to be really good at his job. And he did it and he came home.
Mendes revealed she doesn’t like taking acting jobs because they take you away from the home. You’re constantly on location, and that’s not something she wants to do while trying to raise a family.
But as their kids grow older, it does seem like Mendes is putting herself out there a little more. We’re sure she’ll return to the acting world soonish. The last time she appeared in a movie was back in 2014.
