It’s official, Julia Stiles is a mother of three! The 43-year-old actress told The New York Times this week that she privately welcomed her third child last year.
Apparently, she welcomed the little bundle of joy around the holidays, because in the interview, she revealed the baby is just 5-months-old.
I’m kind of like a bundle of emotions, because I have a 5-month-old baby and I went into directing my first movie.
She did not reveal the baby’s gender or name, but we do know she and her husband Preston Cook are already parents to 6-year-old Strummer and 2-year-old Arlo.
And while she didn’t share any details on this baby, she did talk about how motherhood helped her with directing her first feature film…
I think that actually being a mom is really great training for being a director. You have to think 10 steps ahead but also be in the present moment. You have to be good at time management. You have to be sensitive to people’s needs and guide them, but also hold a boundary.
Honestly, being a mother is probably great training for just about anything in life. There is no harder job in the world! No job more important either!
