Feeling a little cold coming on? Maybe all you need is a little breastmilk to keep the sickness away!

Kourtney Kardashian, who just gave birth to her fourth kid, Rocky, five months ago, went on her Instagram stories to share a photo of herself getting cozied up in bed.

She captioned the photo, “This filter is crazy and I just pounded a glass of breast milk because I feel sick 🤧 good night!”

Well, okay then.

You might be wondering if there’s any evidence behind her theory, and well, the answer is complicated. Breastmilk is a miracle drink for infants. We all know this. Your milk contains antibodies that your baby needs to help fight off infections.

But is the same true for yourself? Probably not, considering your body is the one producing those antibodies, meaning they’re already in your system. So you drinking them would just be like a recycling process.

Still though, there’s no harm in drinking your milk, so if you think it gives you some edge over a sickness, then go for it.

The placebo effect is real!
