Mother’s Day went down this past weekend, which meant lots of husbands went on their social media accounts to give special shoutouts to their wives.
But men aren’t always the best at picking out which photo to feature.
During a chit-chat with Jimmy Kimmel, Kelly Ripa admitted she was slightly irritated with the photo Mark Consuelos chose. If you’re not following Mark, he posted the photo you see below, with the caption, “2 for 1. Happy Mother’s Day to these two gems.”
It’s a sweet photo, but Ripa is confused as to why Mark picked it…
Well, I was very irritated by this photo. First of all, I’m not Mark’s mom, so I get it. You don’t need to honor me. But he finds a picture of us from 150 years ago where we are both at an amusement park; we’re at a western ranch amusement park in Arizona. It’s 400 degrees. We’ve been sweating all day. We are clinging to each other because we’re so dehydrated. And this is the photo he chooses.
Whoops! Mark wasn’t the only one in the doghouse, Kimmel also explained how his wife hated the photo he chose.
I posted a picture on Instagram which I thought would be nice. And I wanted to get the kids in there and our new dog Todd in there, And I wrote. ‘Happy Mother’s Day to the lady in the glasses and every great mom.’ Apparently, this was the wrong picture to choose and an insufficient message. She’s like, ‘The lady in the glasses, like you don’t even know who I am?’
When will these men learn?
