Giving birth is such a beautiful, magical experience, but it’s also incredibly painful and occasionally terrifying.
No one knows this more than Kelly Osbourne. In a new interview with PEOPLE, the 39-year-old star talked about giving birth to her son, Sidney, revealing it was more dramatic than she wanted it to be.
When the doctor entered the room, they noted that Sidney had turned and the “cord” got wrapped around his neck.
“We’re going to have to do this quickly,” the doctor said, while trying to remain calm. Kelly says when she heard that, something sparked inside her and she went into superhuman mode.
I’m such a wimp, I can’t handle pain. But [when it came to his birth] it was the weirdest thing, Something came over me and I became a different person. I was just like, OK, let’s do this. I got him out in four pushes.
Elsewhere in the interview, Kelly shared how being a mom has completely changed her life…
It’s the best adventure I’ve ever been on. I can’t say enough good things about being a mom. It’s just changed everything about my life. I want as many kids I can squeeze out before it’s too late.
