Former ‘Mad Men‘ star Jon Hamm is 53-years-old and still hasn’t entered dad mode. For those who don’t know, he just recently got married to 36-year-old Anna Osceola. They said “I do” last summer after getting engaged in February of 2023.
And now that he’s finally a married man, he’s thinking about the next step, which is starting a family. He told The Hollywood Reporter that he looks forward to being the old dad.
It’s not lost on me that I’m 53. I will be the old dad, but so it goes. It could be a good thing. We’ll see.
He also talked about how he’s been afraid of marriage his whole life because of his parents divorcing when he was younger.
Obviously, my parents were not married long, so I don’t have a model to look at and go, ‘Oh, this is how one finds happiness,’ I just knew at a certain point I wanted to be with this person. But when I proposed, I was terrified. I was like, ‘What am I doing?’
Despite his fear, the proposal was great and the wedding was perfect. He told Jimmy Kimmel that it was the “perfect day” and we’re so glad to hear it.
Now we just have to wait for pregnancy news! At 53-years-old, Hamm will indeed be a pretty old dad, but hey, it could be worse. Robert De Niro just welcomed a newborn at 80-years-old!
