As most of you know, Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker welcomed a little baby boy named Rocky together just eight months ago.
And during a recent episode of The Kardashians, the 45-year-old reality star revealed she didn’t leave her home for 40 days following the birth.
In many different cultures, women don’t leave the house after having a baby for 40 days, to let your body have that time to heal and beyond that. I’m really into attachment parenting. I really don’t separate from him. I love being at home right now, like my time is dedicated to taking care of my baby and bonding with him.
Her sister, Khloe, joked that she’d probably want to hit up a rave on the 41st day, but according to Kourtney, she kinda got used to staying at home. “I just feel like I don’t wanna even go anywhere still.”
I think in 2019, staying inside your home for 40 days straight would have seemed outrageous, but after the pandemic? It doesn’t sound as crazy. After all, most of us have already done it!
It’s lovely that Kourtney was able to take those 40 days to just be with her baby. Not all mommas have that luxury.
