If you’ve been following the gossip blogs at all, then you know Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have had a pretty nasty end to their marriage. Their divorce battle is actually still ongoing, even though they first filed several years ago.
They are currently still arguing over some winery they owned together. Just recently, Jolie made a plea to Pitt to “end the fighting.”
According to an insider who talked to PEOPLE, Pitt and Jolie didn’t see eye-to-eye on parenting either.
During their marriage, they had very different parenting styles. Brad grew up with structure and wanted more rules for the kids. Angie had a different upbringing and wanted the kids to be more independent and responsible for their own schedules from a young age. They clashed over this.
That’s why it’s so important to discuss all this before you have kids with someone. You want to make sure you’re both on the same page. You have to be partners in parenting or it’s never going to work.

Despite their different parenting styles, they both had similar visions for their children…
They did always have the same vision for their kids’ future. They wanted the kids to thrive by experiencing the world first-hand and not only learn from traditional schooling. They still both really care. They both care about the children.
Unfortunately for Pitt, they don’t all care about seeing him. An insider recently revealed he has virtually “zero contact” with his older children. Although, he still has visits with the 16-year-old twins, Knox and Vivienne.
Earlier this year, his 18-year-old daughter Shiloh dropped “Pitt” from her last name.
