37-year-old ‘Glee‘ star Lea Michele is currently pregnant with her second baby, but the pregnancy journey has not been an easy one.
During a recent episode of the “BDA Baby” podcast, Michele revealed the process was “completely not what they expected.” She and her husband, Zandy Reich, suffered “two back-to-back very early failed pregnancies.”
It was Michele’s first time dealing with a failed pregnancy…
I had never had a miscarriage before. … The first one, I was like, ‘That was weird.’ When it happened again right away, I was like, ‘Wait a second. Something is wrong.’ It wasn’t until a little bit later [that] I had another [loss]. I was working at the time. It was super challenging to … process what we were experiencing at the same time, which was very painful.
She and Zandy decided to seek help from a team of medical professionals, and that’s when she received an endometriosis diagnosis. She underwent surgery, took lots of medications and had “one thousand shots” but it was all worth it in the end, because it led to a successful pregnancy.

Michelle and Zandy are already parents to 3-year-old Ever, who was born during the pandemic in August 2020.
It was confirmed earlier this year that this second baby will be a girl, so they’ll have themselves one boy and one girl!
Congrats to the happy family!
