Rumer Willis, the daughter of Bruce Willis, went on her Instagram account this week to share some sweet photos of her daughter nursing to celebrate World Breastfeeding Week.
Her daughter, Louetta, entered the world 16-months-ago, and of course, she’s the best thing that’s ever happened to Rumer.

Rumer captioned the carousel of photos, writing, “Breastfeeding has been one of the most joyful and bonding experiences of my life with Lou, who is still nursing at 16 months.”
She noted that the journey has been surprisingly stress-free for her, which she is super thankful for, because for a lot of mothers, the breastfeeding experience can be incredibly stressful and emotional.
I feel incredibly privileged because I know this isn’t the case for everyone. It’s a gift of health and bonding that every mother should have the opportunity to give.
When does Rumer plan to stop nursing? She doesn’t have an exact date in mind. “I am sure we will figure it out together,” she noted, hinting that she’s in no rush to stop.
Some people criticized her for sharing the photos, but she believes they’re “incredibly important to share” to “combat the shame that comes with being born into a female body.”
