As most of you probably know, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s marriage is over. Lopez filed for a divorce from Ben earlier this month, and in the documents, it was revealed they had been separated since May.
And while Lopez has remained in contact with Ben’s kids, Ben has not been in contact with her 16-year-old twins, Max and Emme.
An insider told PEOPLE:
The fact that he has not seen her kids in a long time, it’s like he left, but she is especially close to his kids. He has not been in touch with her kids. [Jennifer] went out there and told the world what a great dad he was.
It’s worth noting that family is so important to Lopez, and once you’re in her circle, you are there forever. She’s even still in contact with Marc Anthony’s kids from his previous marriage.
We have to imagine she’s disappointed in how Ben has acted after their split. There are rumors going around that he’s already started dating someone new.
And while Ben might not be a great stepdad, insiders say he’s an amazing dad to his own children. “They are his top priority,” a source added.
