Typically when a celebrity announces the birth of a new child, it’s a celebratory moment, but Dave Grohl’s recent announcement was more of a somber admission.
On Tuesday, Sept 10, the 55-year-old rocker wrote on Instagram that he recently welcomed a daughter with a woman who is not his wife.
I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage. I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness. We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together.
He did not provide anymore details, and as far as we know, the mystery woman has not been identified.
For those who don’t know, Grohl has been married to Jordyn Blum since 2003, so they’ve been together for over 20 years. They also share three children together: Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10.
