If you didn’t know, 40-year-old actress Gina Rodriguez welcomed a baby boy named Charlie with her husband, Joe LoCiero, one year ago.
In a recent interview with PEOPLE, Gina revealed that she and her husband decided they wouldn’t hire nannies or place Charlie in daycare.
Since my baby’s been born, we don’t do nannies, we don’t do childcare — it is us. I put my child to sleep every single night for the entirety of his existence, which means at 7:00 p.m. on, I am not a human being. I am my child’s pillow.
That’s awesome! We love to see celebrity parents being active in their kids’ lives. It would be so easy for them to just hire a nanny and let them do all the work. After all, Gina has a net worth over $5 million, so she can easily afford to hire a live-in nanny.
Gina revealed that this might be her only baby, so she wants to make sure she’s taking it all in…
This is the choice we made,’ because he’s with the grandparents right now, and they can’t put him to sleep. He wants … me. It’s just Mommy. It is Mommy and Mommy’s boobies — and Mommy alone. So because of that, it’s a choice, it was a big choice. But this might be my only baby, so I just wanted to do it the way I wanted to do it.
As you should, Gina. As you should. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise!
