Katy Perry is about to drop her latest album, 143, this Friday. It’s her seventh studio album, so she’s been doing interview after interview to promote it.
During a recent chit-chat with Audacy, Perry was asked if she ever goes to her family for feedback while creating an album.
She admitted that most of them aren’t much help, but her 13-year-old stepson, Flynn, is the exception. Perry said he has a great ear.
I’ll play things to Orlando’s son, who’s 13, and he has a really good ear. He’s probably the best person out of my whole family. He loved ‘Never Really Over,’ from my album in 2020. I played that to him before it came out and I was like, ‘What do you think?’ And he’s like, ‘Yeah, this is good.’ He’s got good taste. He loves this song called ‘All the Love,’ which is on 143. And that’s like one of my favorite songs that I wrote.
So there you go. “All the Love” is the song to look out for when her album drops later this week.
Katy first started dating Flynn’s dad, Orlando Bloom, back in 2016. They got engaged in 2019 and had a wedding date in 2020, but it got pushed back because of the pandemic. Last we heard, they still haven’t had an official wedding.
In 2020, Katy and Orlando welcomed a baby girl together named Daisy Dove.
