Becoming a mother for the first time was such a great experience for Eva Mendes. She finally felt like she had a true purpose in life. She even stopped taking roles in Hollywood, so she could be a full time stay at a home mom.
For those who don’t know, Mendes shares daughters Esmeralda Amada, 10, and Amada Lee, 8, with her movie star partner, Ryan Gosling.
During a recent chit-chat with Drew Barrymore, Mendes admitted she has felt a little lost as her daughters have gotten older…
I felt very clear when I gave birth, but then I felt lost, if that makes sense. Then when it was like the cliche of, ok well, who am I now after the kids can survive on their own? I mean, they’re only 8 and 10, but you know what I mean? They don’t need me every second, it’s a little different. But I love talking to my girls about anything so I feel very fulfilled.
And we’ve seen Mendes start to get back out there more. She’s been doing more interviews and being more active on social media.
We have a feeling she might make a return to acting here soon. Maybe her and Ryan will switch roles! Perhaps he’ll take a break from acting, although, that would certainly disappoint us because we love every movie he’s in.
