Back in April of 2023, Tia Mowry and Cory Hardrict finalized their divorce. It was a shock to many because the couple had been married for 15 years.
Sadly, they just couldn’t work things out, but perhaps it’s not so sad? In a new interview on The Today Show, the 46-year-old ‘Sister, Sister‘ star admitted she believes she’s a better mother to her kids following the divorce.
For those who don’t know, she and Hardrict have a 13-year-old son and a 6-year-old daughter.
I feel like I’ve learned so much and I can’t wait to apply that to my new [potential] relationship, but I’m already doing that. I can already see myself being a better mother and just being present with my friendships.
She also shared how she recently discovered that “loneliness and solitude” are two different things. She no longer feels alone because she has a healthier relationship with herself.
The biggest change, the thing that I’ve learned about myself, is taking responsibility for my own pain and suffering. So, you know, therapy, journaling, spending time with myself. Solitude is not punishment.
Absolutely! You have to be the best version of yourself to give the best to someone else. We are so happy to see she’s thriving post-divorce!
