As most of you have probably heard, Hoda Kotb recently moved her two daughters (Haley, 7, Hope, 5) away from NYC and into the suburbs.

It was a move Hoda had been wanting to make for a few years now. She wants her kids to have a yard and a neighborhood where they can safely ride their bikes and play with other kids.

The only thing keeping her in NYC was her hosting gig on the Today show, but she announced last month that she’d be stepping down as a full-time host at the end of the year.

So how has the move to the ‘burbs been so far? Well, pretty darn great. Not only has it made them stronger as a family, Hoda says it’s also improved Hope’s health. For those who don’t know, Hope had a sudden medical crisis in February 2023.

Hoda still hasn’t revealed what the medical condition is, but she did say Hope will need long-term medical care.

Sounds like she made the right decision for her family! Good for her. Heck, she deserves the break. She has hosted the Today show for nearly two decades now.
