In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Jennifer Lopez revealed she took inspiration from her own life to help her play the role of Judy Robles in the new film, Unstoppable.
In the movie, she plays champion wrestler Anthony Robles’ mother. Anthony, who is also a best-selling author, gives a lot of credit to his mom, Judy, for raising him.
And it was hearing his story (and acting it out) that made Lopez realize she’s enough for her own children.
I’ve been a single mom at times in my life, and [I’ve asked,] ‘Am I enough for them?’ And the truth is, all you need is really one good parent to love you. You hear it in Anthony’s voice, and look what he’s been able to accomplish. That’s what the movie gave me: You are enough.
For those who don’t know, Lopez shares twins, Max and Emme, with her ex, Marc Anthony. They filed for a divorce in 2012, when their twins were just 4-years-old.
Last month, Lopez spoke on The Graham Norton Show and revealed she took this past summer off to spend time with her kids.
It was the best thing I think I’ve ever done. I decided to take this summer off and be home with the kids. It’s not like me to do that.
We love to hear it!
