As most of you know, Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise share an 18-year-old daughter named Suri together. Katie and Tom split back in 2012 after being together for around six years.
And ever since then, Suri hasn’t really had much of a relationship with her father. Most people believe this is due to Tom’s affiliation with the Church of Scientology, which reportedly prohibits members from being close to those who don’t practice Scientology.
In any event, there was a new report claiming that once Suri hit 18, she gained access to a trust fund Tom set up for her years ago. The report said she now had access to at least $1 million.
But mom Katie was to quick to shut those rumors down.
And while most of her followers were supportive of this, one user rolled their eyes at this “hardship” and wrote, “Hey are you worried if you can pay your rent AND eat this month? No? Yea me either 😅🙄 I Wish these were my problems.”
Katie wrote back, admitting while she doesn’t disagree with the fact that there are plenty of problems in the world, her focus is on the safety of her daughter.
“But in the world today, I don’t want a target on my child’s back. It’s dangerous,” she wrote.
100%! If some lunatic thinks Suri is just walking around with $1 million in her bank account, that definitely puts a target on her back. We don’t blame Katie at all.
