Hollywood actress Amanda Seyfried is a mom to daughter Nina, 7, and son Thomas, 4. She shares both rugrats with her husband, Thomas Sadoski.
Juggling being a mother while also being an actress and businesswoman doesn’t leave Amanda much time for herself.
But when she does get time for herself, she feels guilty about it. During a conversation with PEOPLE, the 39-year-old star revealed she’s trying to get over the feeling.
When [the kids] are at school actually. I always kind of get something out of all the time that I have. Like when I’m feeding our farm animals, I’m listening to a book on tape. So it feels like it’s selfish time, but really I’m feeding, so it’s still busy, it’s work.
That is the life a mom, huh? Always feeling like you have to be doing something productive. She added that before the kids go to school, she sits with them as they eat breakfast and watch Bluey.
I’ll sit and crochet while they eat their breakfast, watch Bluey, whatever they end up doing before school.
She lives upstate, so she also gets time to herself when she has to take a train into the city…
If I have to go to the city, I take the train. And I get like an hour and 40 minutes of alone time each way. And I’m always crocheting. Knitting, crocheting, that’s my lifestyle.
