Andy Cohen was on a recent episode of Today with Hoda and Jenna, and he spoke candidly about how Hoda Kotb gave him the courage and strength he needed to have kids later in life.
He specifically remembers an impactful conversation he had with Hoda years ago in the hallway at Radio Andy…
And you were like, ‘It’s right on time. It’s okay,’ Because I was worried about where I was in my life and my age and you really set me straight and that conversation was very impactful to me personally and I really thank you for that guidance.
Kotb said she remembered the exact conversation he was talking about, so obviously it was an important moment for her as well.
For those who don’t know, Cohen welcomed his first baby, Ben, in 2019. He then had a daughter just three years later. He was 50 when he welcomed Ben.
Meanwhile, Hoda was 52 when she welcomed her first daughter.
And while that might seem pretty old to be welcoming your first kid, it’s becoming normal in Hollywood these days.
Fun fact, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the average age at first birth in the United States is 27-years-old. That’s up from 25-years-old back in 2011.
