Robert Pattinson and his fiancée Suki Waterhouse welcomed their first baby back in March of 2024, and it’s been nothing but rainbows and butterflies since.
In a new interview with Vogue, the 38-year-old actor talked a little about his life as a new father. He admits that it’s even better than he expected. Even the smell of his baby is better than he expected!
I remember people used to be like, ‘Oh, don’t you like the smell of babies, but I thought they were just smelling the baby powder. But then I had a baby, and I was like ‘my baby smells incredible.’ She doesn’t smell like other babies.
We’re sure most parents probably think this. Just like all our kids are super smart, right? That’s the joy of parenthood, though. Constantly thinking your kid is different.
It’s worth noting, there appears to be a science to all of this. Marty Ellington Jr., MD, MPH, Chairperson of the Department of Pediatrics at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City, told PEOPLE that babies are designed to smell good to their parents.
The baby’s appearance, smile, smell, and all the things the child does, encourages us to nurture the child. Adults respond positively to babies. It’s all part of the bonding process.
There you go!
