Lady Gaga has spent the majority of her life being a pop star, but at 38-years-old, it appears she might be ready to slow down a little bit.
During a new interview with Elle magazine, the singer/actress said she’s ready to start a family with her fiancé Michael Polansky.
More specifically, she’s ready to be “humbled” by her future children and let them follow their own path in life.
That’s something Michael and I have talked about a lot — allowing our kids to be their own people. It’s such an intense thing for kids coming into the world. And they’re told how to think and what to believe in and how to eat … I just kind of want to let my kids find out who they are.
And while we support this idea in theory, there will be times when your kids look to you for the answers. They do need a little guidance.
Lady Gaga says she’s ready for however her future kids react to her wild career…
I would want my children to understand that whatever my artistry means to them is totally up to them. I would never actually want to shape it or tell them how to think about me. Maybe other than that I just did my best. And tried to stay true to myself along the way.
In all likelihood, they won’t really care about her career, especially when they’re younger. We hear that from celebrities all the time.
Hopefully Lady Gaga is prepared for that.
