Katy Perry is set to kickoff her Lifetimes tour in April of this year. It’s a pretty big deal for her, considering she left her judging job on ‘American Idol‘ to do it.
American Idol had served as a home base for her when she needed it the most. You’ll remember, she gave birth to her first daughter just four years ago. The job allowed her to stay in one place as she took care of little Daisy Dove with her partner, Orlando Bloom.
But now she’s going back to life on the road, and according to her recent interview with PEOPLE, she plans to bring Daisy with her…
She’s definitely going to come out and bring her light. She is so excited. She’s an extrovert, of course, being raised by two extroverts, and she loves music and she loves Mom’s songs. She took her music class today, and I just got a photo of her minutes ago with a ukulele in her hand.
This will be Perrys’ first tour in seven years. And while Katy is excited to bring her daughter along, she realizes Daisy doesn’t really care about or understand how famous her mom is.
She’s still trying to figure out what the days of the week means. I think she just loves when Mommy’s happy, and I think she really feels our love for her, and she feels safe and encouraged to do and be whatever she wants.
We’ll miss her on Idol, but glad to see she’s excited for this new chapter in life.
