Marvel star Anthony Mackie is one of Hollywood’s most successful actors, but you don’t hear much about him because he does a terrific job of keeping his life private.
The 46-year-old actor shares four boys with his ex-wife, Sheletta Chapital, but not much is known about them, and that’s by design.
During a recent interview with Esquire, Mackie talked about his decision to keep them out of the spotlight…
I’ve always kept my personal life out of the business. I don’t allow people to photograph my kids. I don’t bring my kids around. I want my kids to be normal.
We respect that decision, and honestly, we’re sure his kids will thank him for it when they grow older. And even though he doesn’t share photos of his kids or reveal their names, he does talk about them occasionally during interviews.
Back in 2021, he told PEOPLE that his kids don’t really care much about him starring in movies. Instead, they’d be more impressed if he was a gamer.
They’re pretty much really not into me as an actor at all. It’s shockingly funny how much they couldn’t care less about me being in movies. They’re more about playing video games online, like their favorite streamers on Twitch.
