You hear celebrities say all the time that their kids don’t think they’re cool. It’s always a surprise to hear because everyone else in the world thinks they’re cool.
But sometimes, magic strikes and for a brief second, celeb parents experience the best of both worlds.
During a recent interview with PEOPLE at the JONASCON event in New Jersey, Kevin Jonas revealed his 11-year-old daughter, Alena, finally thinks he’s cool. Or at least her friends do.
Clout is starting to happen with my older one. She’s like, ‘Dad, can I get my own box [to] invite my friends to the show on the 10th?’ I was like, ‘I’ll see what I can do for you, babe,’ So yeah, we’re at that point. But it’s exciting. I love it.
He went on to say he’s most proud to be her father, but the fact that she’s also proud of him is a nice bonus. A Jonas bonus, so to speak.
For those who don’t know, The Jonas Brothers are about to take off on their Living the Dream Tour with Marshmello, The All-American Rejects and Boys Like Girls. They’ll be on the road from August until November.
All three bros have families now, so it’ll be interesting to see how packed their tour bus is!
