Tina Knowles is very close with her superstar daughter, Beyonce. The 71-year-old grandmother is a very involved grandmother and often babysits grandkids, twins Rumi and Sir, 7, and Blue Ivy, 13.
During a recent chit-chat with E! News, Tina shared that Beyonce has one rule she never breaks when it comes to motherhood.
“The kids are always her first priority. No matter what else is going on,” Tina revealed, and we must say, that’s a rule every parent should have. When you decide to bring kids into this world, you are no longer the first priority.
Tina also talked about how mothers are always working behind-the-scenes. Their job never stops.
Mothers take on the role of being behind the scenes and doing what they can to support. It’s nice to be recognized for that. It never ends, which is the best part. I’m still a mom. I’m 71 years old, and my kids are grown, but they still call me first and it’s the best feeling in the world.
How sweet! In addition to Beyonce, Tina is a mom to ‘Cranes in the Sky’ singer, Solange. It appears all three ladies have a special bond with each other.
And if that infamous elevator video is any indication, Solange is willing to throw hands for her sister.
