Camila Alves McConaughey is married to movie star Matthew McConaughey, and as a former model herself, she’s lived a life of luxury.
But she wants to make sure their kids don’t grow up spoiled.
The 42-year-old talked to PEOPLE about the struggles of raising teens in today’s world. For those who don’t know, she and Matthew have son Levi, 16, and daughter Vida, 15 — as well as son, Livingston, 12.
She revealed that her kids help her and her husband run the Just Keep Livin foundation.
We get them as active as much as they can, but we also do a lot of things with them with other organizations. So Meals on Wheels Thanksgiving is part of our Thanksgiving routine where we get over there and do the new deliveries. Any country we go to, any location we go to work, we always end up doing some form of charity things.
Camila also revealed that even when the family goes on vacation, they try to take some time to give back to the local communities…
Honestly, we all know as parents, you can only do your best. Kids are going to do what they’re going to do. But we can try our best. So I’m hoping that because they grew up with this hands-on experience of giving back, of doing community work, that they will carry that on.
Sounds like she and Matthew are setting a solid foundation for their kids. We love to see it!
