Back in December 2023, ‘Little Mermaid‘ star Halle Bailey welcomed her first baby boy with her boyfriend, DDG. One year later, the couple split, and unfortunately, it was not an amicable split.
According to recent court documents, the 25-year-old singer/actress has filed for sole legal and physical custody of her son, Halo Saint.
She is also asking the judge to order that DDG not be allowed unsupervised visitations. She’s requesting he have supervised visitations once a week for six hours while Halo is in Los Angeles. Additionally, she makes it very clear that DDG is not allowed to travel outside of LA with their son.
She has also requested an order to prevent child abduction, saying that DDG has a history of abusing her, taking away or hiding Halo from her, threatening to take away or hide Halo from her, and not cooperating with her in parenting.
Yikes. What a terrible situation. Bailey notes that she’s having to do all this in court because she’s tried to handle it one-on-one with DDG, but he refuses to follow her requests.
She mentioned one incident back in January when DDG came to pick up Halo. Bailey wanted to talk about their co-parenting schedule, but DDG was not having it.
I had left my front door open and was not even fully dressed as I was not even wearing shoes. Darryl kept repeating ‘Get out of my car, BITCH.’ Halo was crying. I repeatedly pleaded with him to stop calling me a bitch. I felt very nervous that he was taking Halo with him and was very agitated; I did not feel safe leaving a baby with him in his state. I also wanted to know when he would bring Halo back. He would not tell me.
The argument ended up getting physical. He apparently pulled her hair and slammed her head against the steering wheel, chipping her tooth.
Geez. Hopefully this court process is an easy one for her.
